Title of the project:
AN URBAN EDGE AS AN URBAN GALLERY:
URBAN GALLERY OF HISTORIC JAME’ MOSQUE OF ARDABIL CITY, IRAN
Ardabil is a historical city (founded in about 500 AD) located in a mountainous region, in the Northwest of Iran. Historic Jame’ mosque of Ardabil,
Museum and urban framework of the Mosque Jame of Ardabil
The edges or in other words urban framework designed in 2011 is in principle the guard structure to avoid historic hill drift or Mosque Jame and facade building of abandoned framework in the area, which we designed and controled of the project to designe new and straddle job,
parallel to these protection in the architecture field. This framework is actually located the organizing of the view of retaining structures and the enclosure of Mosque Jame in the vicinity of street Simetry and it is separate process from the issue of the restoration of the monument of Mosque Jome. (In fact, only, the issue of encounter in the urban edge is considered as the organizing of the passages and museum body).
So, in this context, we propose a scheme that except for the retrofitting of the framework, to it is taken as a positive step in order to the city beautification. It was addressed to be designed a Museum on the edge of the city to introduce the history and site works to the public that initially it was faced with strong opposition from the authorities (because of the lack of protection), and finally they perform it with a justified reason. This effect has become to one of the architectural indexes of the historic fabric of Ardabil. And for the first time, it is designed and implemented in Iran that philosophers shall be provided the importance of their work to public.
